Plumieri}), and the redmouth grunt ({H. aurolineatus}), of the Southern United States; -- also applied to allied species of the genera {Pomadasys}, {Orthopristis}, and {Pristopoma}. Called also {pigfish}, {squirrel fish}, and {grunter}; -- so called from the noise it makes when taken.
