1. To cut short like bristles; as, to hog the mane of a
horse. --Smart.
2. (Naut.) To scrub with a hog, or scrubbing broom.
- They already benefit disproportionately from the welfare state. However, it is not beyond the wit of policymakers to devise systems that stop some people hogging the resources.
- 'Without these giants hogging the road, the little guy is less likely to get squeezed.' For the exporter, winning an order is often just a first step towards making the sale.
